At first glance, the visitor thinks he recognises Van Nelle's packs of "Heavy Shag", but when one comes closer, it turns out to be blocks of wood that have been screen-printed on three sides, inspired by the original packaging.
The visitor could buy this limited edition for € 8.80 each. This price was based on the price of a pack of Van Nelle Heavy Shag in 2014.
Factory Editions was created at the invitation of Art Rotterdam.
Inspired by the history of the monumental and characteristic Van Nelle Factory and the distinct design of the tobacco packages, but also by art fairs and the (international) art trade.
