Until the 1980s, cartridges for ammunition and a small number of automatic rifles were produced in the cartridge factory Artillerie-Ininrichtingen (Ai) on the Hembrug site in Zaandam.
The annual exhibition BIG ART takes place in the storage sheds of the former Artillerie-Inrichtingen.
Is BIG SHOT a shooting gallery like you can find at the Funfair?
Visitors can shoot three times at a picture of themselves that automatically appears in the picture frame on the back wall during the explanation of the rifle.
Inspired by the Hembrug site and Ria van Dijk (1920) who shoots a photo in the shooting gallery at the annual fair in Tilburg from the age of 16.
If you hit the target in BIG SHOT you can take the photo home as a memory.
